Tie objects to storage container?
Oh, and don’t forget:
H- mininuke(active) (trenchcoat)
Real men keep their active mininuke in their pants.

Any idea if/when this will be implemented?

That’s the standard reply :stuck_out_tongue:

Soon, valve time.
We will probably have working NPC’s by the time hl3 is released.

Really, do you automatically try and make everything to be about dicks or sex or genitalia?

Ignoring genitalia, LOOK!

Begin work on a move_all_items functionality for the advanced inventory. (commit: fa60be38293545c0c6fb165459b457d7ea5e8701) — henrik / detail
added functionality to move items across ground, or to inventory. (commit: 44553eae726a15e1fa4dda8054c0ab4dff74c7c6) — henrik / detail
Took the comments BevapDin mentioned and made items_to_iterate a pointer - now items are movable across ground and to/from vehicles! Hooray! (commit: 15d5eefaa675177787f8d6b1890b0188eac2fd4b) — henrik / detail
Removed vehicle::remove_item that uses an item pointer - this didn’t work out properly and isn’t really needed for me either. (commit: 0f5f9aca611d9cf891337b02799552354a3eb7ae) — henrik / detail
simple y/n query for emptying your inventory (commit: 6cdd644f2e8241ab16fe025bd6741a1cb92640b9) — henrik / detail
implemented moving of items from inventory (commit: 22485d9daffceb7b831ec0a997edee751dd41c55) — henrik / detail

some code cleanup, filtering to inventory movement, and option to keep the advanced inventory open after a move all (commit: f90aeda702f217569e14a26022dd36b6e65bcc1a) — henrik / detail
equal spacing, no? (commit: 856427b1cf4549a59a3d5c04a5cd4b0e5d8059a7) — henrik / detail
rewrote header to allow space for [space] toggles selection modes (commit: 6d88ca7a28b880bd320fc1f40333d9a942d4617c) — henrik / detail

Not sure if this has to do with what we are talking about here, but I AM EXCITED! There has been a crazy amount of development going on. I love these people.

I think it has to do with the / screen, the advanced inventory system, and it talks about moving stuff from a car to the ground, but yeah, i am excited too.

I agree with stopsignal.

Awesome because shoving a lawnmower in the chestrigs + utility vests we are wearing only ever made sense after eating mushrooms.

Has any progress been done on this front? Either through code or writing a draft? I have been looking at the code and I could probably write up an awful hack that allows you to store stuff in your backpack… the way that quivers store arrows and boots store knives. I don’t want to duplicate work though.

I should take what i wrote and make a new post, i really want this.

Your suggestion seems to be the be-all-end-all storage suggestion. If that get implemented, the storage would be a completed task. I would like to poke at getting a rudimentary system working, maybe a special “bag” that allows you to put stuff in it. You can craft a backpack into this magic bag.

Once I explore which systems are needed to get this working, then I could look into expanding it. I just don’t want to spend all this time if someone else already has a working rudimentary system…

Shoes, who are you addressing?

I was addressing StopSignal :x
