I absolutely adore this new tactic!
See? It’s so much better with wake up sheeple.
I might be late to the party but thank you very much Galen and the whole developers team beside you.
You sheep, they stopped releasing developer diaries three weeks ago. They delivered not a single one Kickstarter promise. All you got is Utunnels’ tiles support, incomplete and and unplayable as it originally was four months ago.
Utunnels Tiles (29. May, 2013) - Windows binary (F3 switch TILES/ASCII):
Apparently whatever GalenEvil did to Utunnels code is still incomplete and wrongly implemented all the same: no terrain window messages, no sunlight/shadows, no gradual lighting, radar still shows ASCII, nonfunctional tile backgrounds, incomplete tileset, no vehicles at all, no item list trails, screwed animation timing, degraded game performance, and no sprite animations or clothes overly. No mod manager and not even z of z-levels support. Thank you? Hilarious!
Just wanted to say Thank you to all the people to dedicate time to working to improve this game.
I would like to thank everyone for their work on the game. I have been following/playing this game since Whales began development. I finally decided to make an account on the forums. You have all done some amazing work with this game. Thank you Galenevil!
I would like to second the thanks. This game is an absolute gem and frankly the detail in there already is mind boggling. This is the type of game I have been waiting for and really look forward to seeing what else gets added to it.
Big thankyou to everybody working on the game. New stuff pretty much every day, every bug ive posted seems to be fixed within hours. Absolutely amazing.
Pretty little kittens.
Now that’s just out of line, and amazingly, me reply seems to be on topic. He did some good things even though he decided not to go with Github for whatever reason. I don’t know if he stole the code or what but he got the game to run much smoother than even the current 0.9 release candidate. Arrogance and bloated egos aside, I don’t see why we can’t all just learn from each other.

It’s not running smoothly, he just removed the key delay.
Doesn’t seem out of line to me at all. He’s been a bitchy little prick for ages and quite frankly, I’m surprised people are even as nice to him as they are. Maybe if he didn’t run his mouth non stop for months on end, we wouldn’t even have to put words in his mouth. He should just take the hint and leave.
When it comes to that guy there is no spoon line, or least the line is a few dozens miles away from that point.
The fact that some people can still show kindness to LC surprises me, he has been doing all of this with clear intentions to harn this project and to reduce the trust the community places in the head devs and I dont see how whatever he did with the code in the past could counterbalance that fact.
Plus his arguments are Flawed and everything he writes has this terrible ass voice on my head
The kickstarter hasn’t exactly been a success.

This thread is for thanking those who put their time and effort into expanding cata. Don’t we have a thread for the ks? Yes we do, and I’m risking a slap for backseat moderating.
Yo check and see if there’s any meth or water bottles in that seat man.
Well, if you didn’t donate it’s been a resounding success, since any gain from the kickstarter (the tile support, jsoning, whatever z level work has been done etc) is a net positive with a net zero loss.
Also it’s a success in terms of groundbreaking, there’s no other collaborative game that advances this quickly, this regularly, that I know of (and I do browse quite a lot). The money do doubt speeded that in some ways.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they could raise another batch of money in the future to keep Galen on or do whatever. Especially considering that things like Star Citizen can get 25 million (!!!) without releasing anything at all, except for plastic models.
Plus it trolls LC which is itself worth money.

Implying I haven’t already? B)
…I didn’t
God what is with people quoting this weird person I never hear? It’s like the only form they exist in is quotes.
Like some kinda ghost. TOO SPOOKY FOR ME OKAY ZOMBIES IS ENOUGH.
As a long time player of Cataclysm and then Cataclysm:DDA (As well as a moderate forum lurker xD), a big thank you to everyone who has worked on making this awesome game what it is today.
