Thank you all for making CDDA what it is

Hey CDDA devs and community. I’m sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but I just wanted to express my extreme gratitude to you all for this wonderful game. I lost my Mom on March 13th, and have been dealing with this essentially on my own. I needed a way to unwind and disconnect from the world, but several weeks before Mom passed, my gaming PC melted down after 14 years of loyal service. I had no games left to lose myself in, but then I remembered CDDA. I played a LOT back in the Frank release days, so I dusted off my old HP laptop, downloaded Herbert, and it runs flawlessly. I was able to quickly and easily become fully engrossed in the life of my characters in their struggles for survival, just like the old days, and this has been absolutely invaluble to me in keeping my sanity through this difficult time.
From the very bottom of my heart, thank you all SO SO SO MUCH!! CDDA helped get me through (and continues to get me through) one of the lowest points in my life, and you’re all amazing.
That’s all, and I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day and life. This game is truly special.

i have a very similar story for how i got properly into the game, with a companion animal passing, and me looking for something to distract myself. if nothing else, the game is very good at eating all of your attention for a while, and letting you not think about other things.

thank you very much for sharing your story, we appreciate it.

(and this is perfectly fine where you put it, no worries.)
