Last I checked the version that’s packaged with the game download is the only one that works on the experimentals.
The good news is you’re not without an option, even if you’re pretty far along on a character. You can still use the StatsThroughSkills that comes with the main game.
You should have the game closed when attempting this. Also, if you happened to delete the original StatsThroughSkills when you installed StatsThroughSkills IV: A New Nope, it will need to be put back in data/mods first.
-
Open the game directory.
-
Go to the “save” folder, open the subfolder with your current world name.
-
Find and open mods.json.
-
Once the file is open, any standard text editor will suffice, find “StatsThroughSkillsFour” in the file and erase the “Four” from it. Only the word, no quotation marks, commas, brackets, or anything else.
-
Finally, save mods.json and close it.
When you load your game again, it will be using the working version of the mod. Do note however, that the working version of the mod only recalculates stats on skill level ups, so you won’t see any changes until something else levels up.
