Edit: It seems that by “serving” he/she meant every 3 units of jerky (You get 3 portions of jerky per recipe), so this may or may not be intentional.

Use of serving is wrong; possibly count as well. You get three charges of jerky per recipe result, and the broker is buying recipe results, not charges.
