how can I get this nightly build people keep talking about?

Go to the cataclysm site, look at the sidebar, go to the downloads section, get the nightly build. However, it’s for Windows primarily, and you can just download the source from GIT and compile it in Linux, I believe. I’m not exactly sure on how Linux works.

Kind of. You can look at all the commits that are made here and that’ll show everything that gets in an when.
