Fun tact! In his Fechtbuch, Tallhoffer describes a technique now known as “half-swording” - basically holding the blade by the hilt and whacking your opponent in the head (helmet) with the pommel/crossguard. This was comparable to a blow from a light war hammer, and would stun your opponent so you could drag them to the ground and finish them off (most of these fights ended on the ground).

We would need a place where it would make sense for people to do reenacting, because it wouldn’t make sense for reenactors to be found in offices or electronic stores.

Fields on the outskirts of towns. Put a bunch of tents and pavilions and cars out in a field, and scatter reenactors around the area.
