Range and damage is pretty shit right now. Do not count doing even half of the potentional damage 20 tiles even at 10 rifles skill with a dedicated sniper rifle.

Well, the hypervelocity driver isn’t exactly a rifle, but snipery stuff did happen with it. Shooting at max range and expecting the zombie to be vaporized was highly unlikely though.
