As well as how much liquid can stuff like the standing tank and the wooden keg contain. I never knew how ridiculous farming could be.
A metric fuckton. I’ve personally not found what the actual limit is but I’ve seen kegs with hundreds of servings of hard liquor in them. Farming can be slow going early on when you’re trying to find seeds for the various crops (since a gardening store will have maybe eight seeds in it, divided between two types of plant) but once you’ve got a good stock of seed, it can really take off. Just brewed and bottled my first batch of whiskey… life is good!
heh define batch. Also what would be a pro of growing wheat instead of buckwheat? Also again how much can the keg or standing tank hold?

just a baseless guess, but maybe it’s the same capacity as the large tanks you can craft? so 60L or equivalent, just a thought, may or may not be standardized like that.
totally wouldn’t mind being able to boil more than 20 water at once as well…

That is what water purifiers and the foodco kitchen buddy are for.

if only there was materials in EVERY evac shelter to craft those without anything from outside the shelter…
good to know, maybe someday i’ll get to the point of it being useful too.
That is the issue with evac shelters. They RARELY have anything decent in them. The least you get is a folding blanket which is actually nice.
to find yeah, but for crafting they have a decent amount of materials, if you’re not too lazy to take everything apart.
it’s more of an issue of my last large scale vehicle build was a cheating character to mess around with the vehicles and figure crap out, it’s a lot harder to rebuild a tank legit, which is a good thing.

Especially considering how much effort is required to get mechanics to level 2 to be able to remove thing when you start at 0 and can’t find a book.
If you can find an NPC with Mechanics 2 perhaps it would be worth the risk to recruit them just for that reason?
Perhaps make sure they don’t have a gun first. Pick and choose your battles.
yeah, NPCs are a double edged sword at best, i like to keep the spawn rate for them around 0.02 or so then if i find one i have a lot of incentives to recruit (or eat, cannibalism yo) it instead of just letting it walk up fire one shot and i’m dead crap which is a pretty common response.
personally, i can’t stand starting at mechanics skill 2, i’m still making the game harder as i improve anyway, wrong thread but someone else said it best, playing while distracted or tired is a killer, lose more characters that way.

Unless planted wheat grows faster than buckwheat, nothing. Buckwheat has more recipes available to it. Basically flour seems to be the only thing you can craft from wheat, and you can use buckwheat for that as well.

Buckwheat is also way more common.

I haven’t ever done a side-by-side comparison to be sure, but I think wheat produces more per planting than buckwheat, so you get more flour. Otherwise, though, yeah, buckwheat is better… which is weird.
