Yeah no roof required for installing them, but I am being rained on while being stood under them.
It’s a little bit odd, they should really either require a roof or count as a roof.
Panels aren’t made to form a watertight surface and can easily be installed on the car frame itself, if you don’t want a roof for some reason.
There’s no need for any such limitation here.
They could count as roof for the purposes of shade, though. While they can easily let rain through (to wet your slimy survivor or something like that), they probably block off most of the sun.
My dad owns a shop and he welds gas takes sometimes with little fuel in them. Thought he was crazy with that much heat applied to a tank full of gasoline. But hey, I do know when I was in the Army we used diesel for everything from big AMTV’s to HUMMVE’s to all are gens to run the base. Idk if it’s cheaper or what but seems like an overall adavatage whatever it is over regular gas if our millitary uses it for EVERYTHING.
IDEA: Add in ATMV’s if they are not already. And maybe radar systems liek the Q-36 or 37. Just because I was a radar operator. Not sure what use could be implemented with radars in cata tho…Detecting zombie hordes?
I wish they would add a M3 Half-track But then again an angry npc with a grenade or Molotov could fuck up anyone’s day. Ill settle for an M113. Maybe you can add an MRAP but i want a chemical toilet because i refuse to take my MRE shits out a window.
Gas or Diesel? I use solar power. Why? The gas stations hate me in this game. Probably for the best. Last time i used gas i died in a 300 MPH car accident.
It’s actually largely a logistics thing. Once you have some stuff that is diesel you should make everything diesel so you only have to ship and track one thing. Either a base/camp is running low on fuel or it isn’t. No cases of plenty of diesel but no gas or the like. Also means you could siphon out an unused vehicle to power a generator or vice versa. And while not intentional they have lucked into all their stuff being compatible with biodiesel if need be.
