So you don’t need to bash them open but only destroy the wall next to them.

Fema crates are fit with self destruction.
Why would anyone want to bash the crates (or the walls!) if you can pry them open with a crowbar?
if you don’t have crowbar/need wood and nails/cleaning space to build something there (LMOE shelter for example)
