Whenever i kill a zombie with a trench knife the knife gets dropped. really strange
If your Str isn’t high enough, you don’t pull it back in one movement. Basically its sticking out of the zombie, forcing you to take extra time to remove it.
This can happen with any edged weapon.
It’s not a bug; it’s intentional.

This right here; the problem is actually that the game fails to produce a message when your weapon gets stuck in a monster.
