Engines and minimum power consumption

So a few people were talking over here in the thread for the vehicle additions pack, specifically about the vortex generator, when Blaze pointed this out:

Engines can only use battery power, not add it. Positive energy usage is converted to a minimum negative.

Can we get rid of this little conversion maybe, when someone gets the chance? It seems odd that it exists in the first place since nothing with positive energy usage exists in the base game.

I want to make a correction to my earlier assumption. The three primary fuels (Gas, hydrogen, and diesel) can generate power. Any custom fuels cannot. The formula uses consumption as a means of making power; and custom fuels aren’t properly coded to work the same way.
