Well its new grounds, they probably don’t take anything other than flash movies and games very seriously, you should probably try deviant art or conceptart.org[/quote]
Yeah… i had one before, but i did not liked it that time, i don’t know why. I would try again now, tough.
Usually NG is not like this, but every time there are more zero bombers in the art section, and only in that part. I think it’s because normal artists get zero bombed and they do it just because they are mad. I can’t say i had the temptation before.
I’ve been thinking about powered-armor allot recently–which has led to several not quite finished iterations of Marine power armor. I’ll post that when I’m happy with it.
As for light power armor, I’ve been kicking around this idea of a muscle suit comprised of multiple chambers filled with a magnetorheological fluid precisely controlled by wire thin electromagnets. When active the suit would mimic the pilot’s own movements by applying current to the surrounding MR fluid, doing the typical sci-fi augmented athletics thing. All that said even when not powered it would act as the sort of non-newtonian fluid they’re working into body armor–with a ups its effectiveness skyrockets, able to harden the point of impact to a solid lump of metal.
But since Doubletech makes ridged armor I’m instead focusing on a two-pronged design. Lightweight plate armor that serves mostly as an armature for the various micro-motors and servos and a protective ‘coat’ of composite armor.
Fun fact! For the heavy powered armor first I drew a chick (gasp) then I drew unisex plate armor, then I drew a bomb suit. I then covered it one last time in powered armor.
