Draw Your Cataclysms
Hmm I dont know what happened with this one, it started with a normal bionic commando and I ended up with this strange sort of cyberpunkish brain uploaded guy.

Decent for 30 minutes of work I guess. Blah my coloring sucks
Yeah, I know right? I wasn’t going to say anything because I thought it MIGHT just be me, but now the cat’s out of the bag…

Haha yeah I know!

Tried other designs for the main “plug” but no other one looked as unsettling as that one. I guess its due to that very reason!

Zombified moose. Horror of horrors. Shining udder included.

Oh gawd zawmby meese.

I want to draw something, but I can’t get into the drawing mood, if anybody even knows what I mean. I can’t draw anything unless I’m in the mood, and I haven’t been in the mood for a while… ARGH, FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!

OH GOD THAT IS A MOOSE I am in awe and fear now.

Inquisitor: There is very much a muse or mood for drawing some of your favourite things. If you draw enough though, you’ll realize that you don’t draw very often if you sit there waiting for the mood.

That’s only half of how to draw.

Do quick doodles, and to hell with the quality. You have to not care about the warm-up’s, because otherwise you get caught up on some small detail you can’t get ‘right’ and it just drains your interest in continuing. Don’t worry about the details. Scribble over your scribbles if you have to. I resort to ball-point pen so I literally can’t erase. It’s kind of liberating when you can get on with drawing and not worry about it.

Once you’re in a ‘doing SOMETHING on paper’ mode, it’s a lot easier to accidentally invest more time in something and wind up fully drawing anyway. It’s the hard way to get started, but the challenge of finishing a drawing when you don’t have complete inspiration for where it’s going beforehand forces you to innovate. It’s good practice to have several ‘modes’ of drawing, if you want to draw often.

I should take my own advice and do a scribble.

So long i don’t post here.
Made a drawing, unrelated with Cata. But i wanted you artists to give an opinion.

And also, drawing moods, you are talking about inspiration. Start sketching. Sketching anything is the first way to gather inspiration. Even more! The only part of drawing that i like is sketching, and creating the character i am going to draw. Not detailing, coloring.

Listen to music, gather inspiration, distend a bit, read a book, who knows!

If you want some good music, i recommend you the game’s OSTs.

Specially this ones:

God of War II OST (i am listening to it right now)

Journey OST (love the game, never played it)

Shadow of the Colossus OST (I recommend this one specially, i love the game and i love it)

Thats some very neat 3D, especially on the forearms and legs, the torso and head look a little bit flat in comparison, but you wont notice it unless you really stare at it for a good while; its am awesome drawing overall, congrats.

(psst is that Mayan inspired by the way?)

I drew this mostly to practice some quick coloring style, it still took me more than 45 min though (what a noob) you can see the results by zooming into my avatar if you are so inclined but it looks better in black and white

Just a young mercenary on guard duty, his part of the story takes place in the African savanna’s or something.

I don’t know what kind of shotgun that is, the security guard that I am totally not spying from my window is carrying it, I guess its some sort of cheap sawnoff 870 imitation or something

Thanks! Well, it is… in part. It is also heavily inspired in normal fantasy tales and specially in Shadow of the Colossu’s colossi.

Oh how i love your drawing, you only do 5 lines and you get an awesome character!

WOO! TV HEAD DUDE I like that dude. Glad to hear the art drive came back!

I finished some cute stationary I was designing, then I drew my stupid platys.

They are the best fish that aren’t also Hoss. I don’t know what happens to them in the fiction of cataclysm, but I hope it involves co-piloting one of those power armour rigs with water inside. (Thor has the flower, Loki has the LOL face. Stupid pic keeps re-sizing itself, just click so their eyes are the proper derp.)

I thought “That looks really nice”, then I clicked the image and burst out laughing. XD

Not even exaggerating they totally make faces like that. Those are the ONLY faces they can make.

Those fish faces though.

AND YAY, EVERYONES FAVORITE SLIGHTLY PSYCHOTIC MAN WITH A TELEVISION FOR A HEAD! I have the comic I mentioned when I posted the original picture too. Have it, I 'spose. Senseless violence, ho!

I couldn’t think of what to do with Let the World Burn after like, five seconds, but now it’s crazy and called American Wasteland and I don’t even know. Basically it’s about an afterlife that’s a sort of purgatory that’s a reflection of our world… But everything is ruined and dead, since everybody is… Dead… So the dead are given a chance to redeem themselves (at least, that’s one of many ideas about why they all ended up there) because they weren’t exactly the best people before dying, but there’s plenty of complications… Like everybody have only bits and pieces of their memory, and more than half the people there being bat-shit insane or just plain old dicks. So enter Rainman, recently dead and waking up with nothing but a raincoat and a surprisingly deadly umbrella. Shenanigans ensue.

A quick doodle of Dustin sans mask.

This includes:

Pointed Horns
Mouth Flaps
Mandibles
Chitinous Exoskeleton
IR Vision
Terrifying
Grotesque

His mutations have been all over the place lately, I ended up with unstable and had unlearned the various mutagens moving over to the experimental. Highlights of the time include being a fur covered fish monster and eating all the things with a bout of extreme metabolism.

I think I’ll keep Dustin as if until the rest of those awesome threshold mutations roll out, seeing as I got the insanely lucky break of purifying carnivore but keeping its add-on: Saprovore.

Just in time for mini-fridges to actually work, mind you.
