Draw Your Cataclysms

So it’s been ages since I’ve posted.
And I’ve been checking every afternoon to keep watching them. Love this thread, so much.
Been missing all the fun here, so, I decided to give up my crappy stickman drawings, and for the first time ever, draw a more detailed character. I did this with a mouse in paint.net and it was a btch to do. Took, roughly 4 or 5 hours.
But I’m proud of it. Very. My first time. : )

He’s my typical character, Sam Gongolo (Character from a book I’m writing) and I generally take only what is needed, until I get a flatbed truck or better (Sadly, never found better that works). This is generally what I take with me.
Now I’m posting it, realised I’m missing the Combat knife and makeshift lockpick kit.
Anyway, might try to draw more based on the character.

He looks so excited to be kicking ass XD I like how it turned out!

OH man, that first step from stick art to more detailed renderings is such a big one. Hard too. Seems like a good basic concept pose to showcase all his gear/outfit etc! I’ll be excited to see where you go next

A Guatemalan Police Officer, definitively not the type of police officer you often see in movies and is friendly as he gives you an over-speed ticket.

Those guys may be cruel, corrupt, ineffective or otherwise more or less indistinguishable from the criminals they are supposed to combat. But they sure look awesome with their black mercenary style uniforms, their I’m fucking patrolling this street with my IMI Tavor attitudes and those worrying subliminal messages they send when you realize most do not carry handcuffs

Most them are not that fit, but it only makes those who are much more intimidating

Thanks Pthalocy
I’m gonna try and draw him in some actions, just things that have happened in game.
I generally base my characters of him, so I’ll probably end up drawing his many deaths he seems to have in the world of Cataclysm.
I got nothing else to do, might as well start drawing now.

This was quickly done. Haha, wow, I’m impressed with my own work. I gotta do this more often. And I should be able to.
I love it, takes my mind of my life problems and time passes by without a thought.

So me and a mate, are taking turns, sending the world save to each other on death. He doesn’t play much and dies quickly, but I love that one of my mates actually plays the game.
In this world, I decided to explore those T’s, Office Towers, I think they were.
Cleared the whole place with a crowbar with minor injuries. Searched it for a flashlight to search the basement. None. Wow, all those Zs killed and no flashlight. On the bright I found a USP .45
So I went into the Basement. Pitch Darkness. And so another one of my crazy death related ideas came to mind. Honestly, I don’t think I’d be a good partner in terms of survival, but I certainly am ā€œFunā€.
I smashed open a door, and threw wood in all directions. 2 by 4’s and splintered wood. The went around lighting it all with matches to get some light. Search most of the room, then the Smoke pushed me to the back.
Eventually there was so much smoke, and I walked back to a Flatbed truck (I dunno what it was doing down here) in the bottom right corner. It jumped inside and closed the doors while smoke suppressed me heavily on all sides and fires roared ahead.
So, I waited inside for several hours for the smoke to clear. The place was full of rubble after then, and I had to walk over it pressing > everywhere to find the stairs, cause rubble was covering them.
I like to think I was searching through the wreckage for the way out.

I love your drawings Pthalocy. Haha. So I decided to draw your character too. I was tempted to draw him with the horns, though, cause I liked the Vegan guy. Haha.

Damn I am still missing landscaping skills before I can depict the city of overpass in a way I like

HEEHEE oh god I’m everywhere help!

For some reason I find it totally natural to just have like fivebazillion versions of myself. I just get frustrated drawing my own antlers a lot of the time.

Oh god, I just remembered, I forgot the glasses, haha.
Thats like the biggest recognizable trait with your character. Haha.

His last set broke and he’s looking for a new pair. That’s why he ended up in your drawing!

Or this version of him doesn’t need glasses, or maybe found contacts.

I don’t actually need my glasses irl except for distance-viewing, and even then, it really only comes through when I’m tired these days.

I just like my glasses. FREE EYE PROTECTION.

Haha, versions. Naw seriously it’s all cool.

Usually what happens after a few days, my gun skills rust away and i must resort to hunting with pointy sticks and knife spears.
Heres a survivor, it is stabbing the critter with the knife spear.

I play with Skill Rust at 0, because it makes me feel like I’m achieving nothing, when my hard earned skills just rust away.
Looks like the average survivor killing a Giant Lizard that got run over by a vehicle.
ā€œUh, I totally scored that kill.ā€

I like to use int uncapped. Last time I got my cooking up to 26, mechanics to 25, dodge to 20ish.

Skill rust only happens when you really neglect a skill, and even then the rust is a very slow process and with a few books you can build it back up in less than a day.

damn, I wish I could draw…
