Really dig this group, been lurking off and on since way back, enjoying seeing all the wonderful art, thought I’d dust off some pencils (and make an account…) , say howdy, and throw my drawing of my cataclysm character into the ring since it’s gotten slow as of late.

Nice. Speaking of outside artist places… Found a site called Konachan (which is definitely rated R if you don’t specify your image search otherwise) which has some CRAZY good art, among other art. I would be interested to see what would happen if some of those artists got it in their head to draw CDDA. Call it an “outside” perspective. Found some character ideas, and scenes there. Had to search a lot for it though.

Apparently it’s not disturbing to have a shield made out of the same material as your skin
Well, I figure it’s about as weird as having a leather shield. A plant mutant has about as much in common with a tree as we do with a cow.

Just calling out hollywood characters in disguise when I see em. Should be considered a compliment that his paint person has an uncanny resemblance to a ?billion? dollar movie character. Or an insult to us as consumers… maybe a little of both?
Thanks for the kind words about my sketchy rough art, I was helping someone move cross country which involved after two trips roughly two thousand three hundred miles (something like 3700 km for you metric folks) of driving on the open road, and was naturally pretty busy and exhausted. Love the tree-melee survivor, had to do a quick doodle of how my character to the sight of such a thing.
Hey, it’s no weirder than you having that leather jacket. Oh no, he’s wearing animal flesh, what a terrible person!
I think it’s hilarious/amazing, I’m not being critical; Only in the Cataclysm. I should note though that a tanned leather vest is a little different. A bark shield would be more in the same vein, that’s a wooden shield, as in flesh of the tree. The equivalent would be a shield made from dried human/animal flesh… which sounds both amazing and impractical. Jerky shield!
