which is why most of the time my character’s hands and/or feet are usually in or behind something
Ahahaha yes
I kept my first succesful characters face under a motorcycle helmet, and when my really OP one came around, I sometimes used a mask when I couldn’t draw the lower face.
I also had raggedy hair to cover up some features im eugh with, like foreheads and nose placement.
many an aesthetically appeasing thing has been made by the artist going "fuck it I can’t make a good ___ anyways. But I can make a _____ look sexy as hell! No one will ever know.
Best known example: Van Gogh - I can’t draw a dam ear. So Ill lop my ear off and then I can draw the bandages and make them look AWESOME. Ill have little bit of blood soaking through and stuff. It’ll be SOOO detailed. And it was.
