Draw Your Cataclysms

I really wish I could draw worth anything right now. I have an idea though.

Pm me, and i’ll try when i am free! d:
Though if you start drawing, that’d be awesome.

quick test in gmod, DESTROYED CITY.JPG

ill be getting some more cata like stuff out soonish.

Nice. Penny-farthing couldn’t be any more dangerous.

Spoilering because big, but it seems that our survivor has found a jabberwok… which totally isnt just three rag-dolls i clumsily bolted together.

The Jabberwock Shenanigans Continue!

Phew, That sure was a close one wasn’t it. HOW DOES A MOLOTOV NOT BREAK AM I RIGHT? (lol jaker’s luck)

Edit: even though this one was a bit rushed, it still took me a few hours from mistakes alone, and I didn’t even include the Jabberwock! Q.Q

The adventures of Herbert ‘Daring’ Dashwood and his ghoul manservant Argyle?!?!?

“Okay, you fucking brute, that is the LAST GODDAMN STRAW–”

One of our field researchers found subject C.W. He was severely bloodied when he was brought in, but we’ve taken care of the worst of his injuries. He’s suffered some head trauma, but he seems to be doing fine - He scored 14 on the GCS. We marked him 4 on Verbal response - he’s communicating normally but he seems to think he’s back in the lab and he just had a bad dream. I attempted to comfort him but he thought I was Coulter and bit my arm again - eye and motor responses are all good, it seems.

I’m surprised he was able to survive on his own for this long. I’d been looking forward to meeting him again, but not like this.

Iunno, I wanted to do a doodle of a very angry-looking ChazMoth ready to go berserk (and then get his ass kicked because he’s not a fighter)

That’s really pretty cool, and way different of what you usually do. More lore yesss

Kinda looks like a Jurassic Park T-Rex “ROAR!” pose. Nice.

Pretty much, except instead of “ROAR” it’s more “[ANGRY MOTH NOISES]”!

Thanks folks, glad you like it! I’m trying to experiment a bit more with dynamic posing. Maybe someday I’ll even have him fly (Although he’s rather flight-incapable so it’ll be more falling with style).

Bzzt, Bzzt bzzt, Aka ‘Angry moth noises’

More like “Squeak-squeak-squeak”. No, really, Death’s Head moths make squeaky noises if they’re agitated. This is a character trait of ChazMoth - even if he’s not exactly a Death’s Head Moth.

Looses ALL of manly ness Oh. My. God. That is adorable.

More lore? You got it \o/

Subject C.W. Chaz seems to be more alert and responsive now, and less confused. He woke up a couple of the lab techs in the middle of the night though - panicked moth squeaking isn’t something they’re used to hearing. We thought he was having a nightmare, but that was only half-true. It seems like he’s starting to remember the circumstances of his head injury now, and whatever he saw must have terrified him.

He says he saw Coulter out in the fields as one of the undead.

That much doesn’t surprise me, Coulter was always careless, for all I know he really has become a zombie. Chaz says that Coulter just wouldn’t die. Sure, zombies regenerate given enough time, pulping Coulter or chopping up his body would have stopped regeneration, though. To that end I asked him why he didn’t just butcher or pulp the corpse - apparently he tried, but he was too afraid to do it - understandable, after the sort of things Coulter put him through.

The most disturbing part is that Coulter apparently spoke to Chaz. Sometimes a zombie retains its vocal functions, but Coulter apparently still recognised Chaz, and blamed him for what had happened. I think that part is just Chaz’s stress getting to him, but I gave him a hug (With his permission) and told him he was safe here.

Poor guy.

Part lore, part an idea for a mod-I-would-totally-make-if-I-knew-programming sorta deal - a new negative trait, which I’m tentatively calling “Haunted”. The idea is that out of all the zombies in the world, there is a unique one that has a special tie to your character - a zombie who used to be someone they feared intensely (Be it a bully, or a particular dentist, or in this case Chaz’s physically abusive project manager Coulter), who will show up rather infrequently but unexpectedly and repeatedly, to cause trouble.

This unique zombie (Whose name, gear and maybe even randomized quotes would be editable through JSONs) behaves like a standard zombie, and is easy enough to kill, but causes a minor morale hit simply by being seen and recognised - they’d be first recognised when a player gets within maybe… 10-20 tiles of them? Close enough that they can see the zombie’s face and recognise them, basically. Much like other zombies, the Haunted trait zombie will regenerate and revive - however, their corpse cannot be butchered, as their sheer presence is terrifying enough that the player can’t bring themselves to do it (Or if they try to anyway, the zombie leaps up and attacks them, which in turn creates a bigger morale hit because come on - having a zombie jump you -as- you’re trying to butcher it would be traumatizing).

Still figuring things out but I liked the idea of ChazMoth being hunted infrequently by an unkillable Coulter zombie in the game - after being “killed”, the zombie would get up and flee some indeterminate time later, so they can set up for their next attack.

There are so many reasons this probably wouldn’t work, but hey, a moth can dream. (Or have nightmares). Sorry for the wall of text with this picture, ahaha.

To make up for the wall of text of me rambling about Chaz’s lore, here, have a couple of goofy Cataclysm valentine’s cards I thought up:

We killed that zed,
But your arm got bit,
Good thing I found
A first aid kit!

Words cannot describe how adorable I find that.
