I admittedly don’t really care for it all that much. Tried reading through it, got seriously lost at the start of Arc 5. I have a number of friends who are into it, and a number of friends who loathe it, personally I just found that it wasn’t really my thing.

Installing the Cerebral Booster by yourself is such a thing…
Hah, great picture! Last time I installed a cerebral booster I failed and got pixelated vision.
NOTE TO SELF: CEREBRAL BOOSTERS ARE NOT INSTALLED IN THE EYES
You can easily explain that as having damaged something in the sensory part of your brain.
My two cents for cerebral enhancers: Not hard to damage something sensory in the brain. Optic nerves criss-cross, feed into a little middle bit (hippocampus?? I forget. Small part above where brain stem joins), gets relayed to the back of the head and largely translated from eye’pixels’ into ‘hey i recognize those as shapes’ and has to do more travelling so the frontal lobe can do a quick-comparison to anything it resembles in whatever it has passing for memory. Brains are …let’s just say the graphics card is very, very distributed. I wouldn’t mess with that shit even if it came in an easy-to-install package XD
One last not-funny doodle of MothChaz before I get to the silly stuff again!
Just a neutral pose of what his new design looks like, with the revamped body design and all that.
Also as a bonus, here’s a funny from my friend Rabid, who figures that ChazMoth would take Billy Connolly’s approach to handling zombies, raiders or anyone unpleasant:
I think healing must require soldering iron and screwdriver rather than medkit at some stage:
Actually, that would be awesome.

Indeed, my characters in the endgame allways end up heavily CBMed so much so that they probably don’t really have skin in most areas. I probably would end up suggesting two health bars after you get the alloy plating on a certain area, much like how in doom or wolfenstein you get both an armour percentage and a health percentage.
You are reloading your sawn-off shotgun.
You are being attacked! Stop reloading? [Y/N/Ignore]
The blow was softened by your armor! x20
^ So f*cking much man. Heck, even bullets don’t go through my armour. There should be an option in the game to auto-stop Y/N prompts that are useless when reached to a certain point.
First in game day:
“Zombie child spotted! Stop crafting? Y/N”
One in-game year later:
“You successfully craft you’re ultra leet survivor gear. Also, you were surrounded by 43 jabberwocks, but that wasn’t enough of a threat to start a prompt.”
That’s a really dang badass armor though!

I wan’ one.
YES. YOU NAILED IT.
^ It’s so sad it’s true. The game needs end game content and I feel like an @sshole for not contributing because of my nonexistant coding skills. So the best I can do is inspire the contributors with low grade art, despicable
EDIT: YOUR ART IS AWESOME I ONLY MEANT MINE DON’T TAKE OFFENCE PEOPLE
I think non-coder works like this right here do a great job highlighting both why the game is great, and why we need contributors of all flavours. I REALLY ENJOYED READING THAT. Someone get it public on imgur and see if we snag newcomers!!
Weh, I must upvote more.
Oh god John, you really did nail it.
Meanwhile I’ve finally started drawing again though not really Cata stuff since I’m not really playing now.
Been obsessed with prosthetics and cybernetics and such lately (I blame Shadowrun!), so drew me rocking some cyber limbs.
Man, I really want to get back into Cata so I can draw Cata stuff again. Everytime I try though, I just end up going “OOOH IMA GO DO THIS”
(I should totally get better at drawing armor/mechanical bits too because they look kinda “silly” when I draw then imo)
It’s kinda sad that you don’t really need mutations nor augmentations to become a superior zombie apocalypse survivor and ethereal ass kicker.
To be fair many people in RL are badasses without the need of bionics and mutations. For example :Simo Häyhä.
This dude is the guy I strive to be 10% like in all games that involve shooting and survival of any kind because of how fricking epic his achievements were and he was just a FARMER. Point is you don’t need bionics and mutation super powers and ultra warhammer 40k/Iron Man armour to be a tough dude/gal.
