Total newbie here. Crash to desk when starting new game. This is the error message – any ideas for how to fix?

EDIT: Problem solved, go to settings/options/graphics, change tile rendering option at bottom. Opengl worked here. Thank you jmattspartacus and Azure_Soul_Azur!
