Hello, I’m mostly just somebody who just plays the game and doesn’t really spend much time on the social side of CDDA. That said I wanted to briefly bring up a topic and get the community’s opinion on it. I am interested in making a lore video for Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead describing how the primary Cataclysm happened. (The zombie outbreak). I am not here to really promote my channel or anything tacky like that.
I more wanted to check in with the community first before I think of doing anything like it. I know a lot of the fun of Cataclysm Dark Days is in the differing accounts of what happened and found footage revealing small bits of lore here and there. So I understand that by choosing to cover some of the more in depth lore on this topic it is possible I may be garnering some bad will with the community. So I suppose I just wanted the opinions by the community on this.
Do you think lore videos and the like should never be touched at all? Should only a small amount of the lore be covered and the rest shrouded? I would appreciate some opinions on this. The project would be fun, but I am at peace with not pursuing it if most people here find the idea too distasteful.
I’m not here to step on any toes, I like the game and the lore that’s been developed for it, so the last thing I’d want to do is create bad will with the community in some way.
