Can't find stairs

I’m playing version 488d615 on windows

I do a lab-challenge and the game can never find the stairs, this causes me to spawn at random somewhere in the world.

No, I just checked that and it still happens with a city size of 1.

OK, checked the json: city has to be big enough (size 4-12), but at the same time it needs to be at least 8 overmap tiles away.

Try medium city sizes, like 4-6.

I just noticed I accidently toggled on classic zombies.

When I shut that off it works every time. Go figure.

Have any of you noticed the many liquids that spawn in labs without containers?

I’m talking about the same version.
