About experimental

so i havent played CDDA in a while and recently got back into it, updated and i see that on the newest experimental world settings are uh.. way more reduced

is this intentional? is there a rework underway?
could someone catch me up to speed please
apologies if im putting this topic into the wrong category

Yes.

No, not that I’m aware.

From what I’ve gathered the (easy access of) options were removed as it caused a lot of bug reports by using “unsupported” settings. I’m not a fan of that decision, but I also understand how exhausting it is to try finding a “bug” of “no monsters spawn” just because someone set the spawn multiplicator to 0 and forgot about it, as an example.

You can still tweak the settings to a degree (in preset increments) on world generation itself.

A lot of options are technically still there, just hidden. After generating the world, you can navigate to the save folder, open your world folder, and then open worldoptions.json with a text editor of your choice and make the edits manually.
