I might try that. I actually had 10 perception i believe, but sun glare made me blind to the mines. Pain too, those fungaloids and fungal zombies are a pain with only 2 dodge skill.

When do zombies stop coming back from the dead? When they are “pulped”? Or do I have to butcher them?

Butcher them. Butcher them all.

Great survival xp, also constantly try to pick underbrush for wild vegetables for more survival practice.

Focus determines how fast you learn things. It’s the (much better) replacement of the old XP pool system.
Churchs are ok, but they have a few too many entrances for my tastes. Ringing the bells does work great to bring down a ton of zombies for static mode though, and makes it much easier to wipe them all out at once as long as you can handle the horde.
Right now the “Sound” thing only tracks sound on your exact tile. That means that while it catches gunshots, if you break a window or make an explosion it won’t catch that. I think it’s also messed up in that it doesn’t catch the sound of your footsteps either.

Pulping or butchering will stop zombies from coming back.

The item limit is killing me , i have 205 volume , but i can only fill like 90 and then reach the limit. Is there any way to increase it or turn it off?

Why is there jacqueshammer and jackhammer? Isn’t that the same thing? And why is jacqueshammer description not in english?

If i was a new player and i found a jacqueshammer i wouldn’t know what it is , i need real language , not some french or whatever.

It’s a hardcoded limit of the game unfortunately, and one that we are trying to bypass.

Would it be possible to make sub-menus in the item screen? Like instead of seeing all your items, have them broke down into categories: “Armour, weapons, meds, ect.”, would that allow you to bypass the limit?

use combat knife or katana or just nail bat.

Katana is the absolute best melee weapon. Extremely powerful, and almost never gets stuck.

Was lucky enough to come across a katana so after a few hundred kills my skill is so good that i oneshot mostly anything i come across and dont get injured

Venom martial arts= WIN! my preference Viper (3 hit critical combo is cool and powerful) Scorpion (Power punches and kicks on crits that knocks back 2 tiles and stuns), Lizard (CQC combat and good inside locations with walls dodge and hit boost is good) , Centipede (Fist of the North Star Super fast punches and kicks like bruce lee on a truckload of meth), Toad (Requires certain stats and some time pressing . or 5 to charge up super armor that can resist hulk punches, can also handle hordes and taking little to no dmg)

My only problem is that I can only get the 5 basic martial arts because NPCs like to crash my game whenever they grace it with their existence and whenever I complete a task.

Though I have a backup save ready and I am off to try to use them.

In the dev version (or in .6 when it comes out later today), there are traits you can take at start that allow you to start with any of the different martial arts (or up to one from each “school” if you want to get multiple traits).

So i sometimes like playing with Classic zombies on, just to give that more classical zombie feel. But in the options it says it disables some buildings, could anyone tell me as to what those buildings are?

I’d assume it means stuff like Fungal Blooms, Triffid Roots, Anthills, and the like. Generally “buildings” attributed to monsters that would no longer be in the game.

Yeah but it leaves the wildlife which is why i think it only disables the all kinds of special infected, but maybe leaves mutated animals and well plants.

Yeah the basic idea of “Classic Zombies” mode is that it makes the thing that caused all the zombies the goo never appear and spread. As such a lot of other things that were also caused by the same source (giant insects, labs, etc.) never appear.

Thanks for clearing this out, but then wouldnt that mean that there shouldnt be any zombies instead of just the special kinds and all the weird mutations? Cause if that caused the zombies and other stuff then its not enough to just turn off half of what it does. Maybe at a future version it could be posible to make it that you jsut have simple zombies but all the other stuff is on, cause right now i have a good thinkg going for me, but knowing that a lot of stuff is not there, kinda makes the game too dull, but doesnt make me want to just abandon my character
