Damn! I’ll run out of food soon then…
I meant that they DO respawn when on static like you were using dynamic.
Misunderstood your question, I feel ashamed

Oh, no problem, thanks for answering! Now i can keep on hunting without worrying! (i did notice that there were way too many squirrels around my base even after i killed like 200 of them).
Dumb quick question: can I break a wall of a science lab with grenades and an M72 law? I started next to a lab and a dead military squad, but I couldnt find any dead scientists.
Could I maybe break it down with a sledgehammer?

A LAW might light the place on fire, I’d use the grenades but it may take more than one.
For safety, use them consecutively and not simultaneously, each one will damage the walls even if it doesn’t break them.
Alternatively you can put a pile of ‘useless’ ammo (20 or so usually works) adjacent to the wall, put a piece of wood adjacent to that (and on the ammo, might be unnecessary), and light the wood on fire. This is pretty wasteful but it depends on whether you will ever use that ammo type.
Doesnt matter, found another law, used it and it smashed the wall apart pretty good, it even destroyed 2 turrets behind the door.
it even destroyed 2 turrets behind the door.
Turrets don’t drop their usual assortment of electronics and bullets if you kill them with an M72… I tried that by blowing up a military bunker with an M72, and managed to kill all 6 turrets, but upon closer investigation, all I found were 9mm casings.
Of course, I also tried that in the Metal Gear Solid mod, too
Can I get some tips on night raiding?
1-Only turn your flashlight on when inside a house or something (never near windows).
2-Don’t make noise! Use a crowbar to open doors or screwdriver and hammer to remove windows.
3-Don’t wander around aimlessy, you WILL bump into zombies.
4-Try to keep a car in the town’s borders for a quick escape.
5-Just run/hide for a while if things get bad.
PROFIT!
Edit: Map will be your best friend here, you will use it as a guide in the dark (assuming you checked the city at daytime) you’ll know where you want to go, and it helps to know WHAT you want.
Night vision is also a huge help, especially on the higher levels. A character with High or Full Night Vision can easily raid towns, dancing away from any zombies since you can see them before they see you.
Is there a set range that zombies can spot you at night? And I’m under the impression that zombie dogs have great detection abilities, even at night, is that true?
well if it isn’t raining then they can still smell and hear you so if you really want to go for stealth light step trait and looting when it’s raining is the best tactic for night raids.
Alright, I have a question; How to avoid the damn worms. Headed right out of the shelter;

Three turns later, I’m dead. I also had a character who escaped them, but died when I came back to the shelter because the damn worms had made themselves nice and cozy right outside the doors. I know they can’t get inside pavement or houses, but I can’t go ANYWHERE with the damn worms on my ass because when I go off the road, I have to fight them, and I usually die. Pls halp?

I believe you can distract them with a (switched on) radio, though if there’s none in the shelter I don’t really know what to tell you. :\
I have a question as well. What is the best way for a fairly fresh melee character to take down a turret? I just found a science lab and got inside for the first time. I’m currently rocking a pipe and have little to no skills… should I hold off and explore later? Obviously basic melee attacks would be suicide… is it possible to stay outside of range and throw stuff without it coming for me? I crave the tasty mutagen that it’s guarding…

Javelins.
As for the worm… perhaps set it on fire and run like hell? Hit the road, literally, and never look back…
Hit the road, Jack! Worms arent that hard. Get yourself a meele weapon and fight them. Theyll die first if you dont get attacked by 3 at the same time.
As for the turrets.
Javelins since they are overpowered pieces of wood. You might need a few, throwing is a hard at low levels
Melee v. turrets will kill you. You’re gonna have to learn some Throwing. If it’s dark, you only need a dozen or two Rocks.
This is terrible advice. Worms are one of the worst enemies in the game to melee, especially for low-powered characters. They hit hard before they split, you can’t lure them onto a movement penalty tile to get free attacks on them, and they spawn dynamically alongside graboids. You gain nothing from fighting them and where there’s one there’s invariably a hundred or so more. Just get onto a road and leave.

You gain leather patches and fresh meat from fighting them (amazingly good if your into leather clothing and crafting)
Much safer to kill sewer snakes for your leather, assuming you don’t want to skip the danger entirely and just cannibalise some leather clothing.
I just got myself a sledgehammer. Info says it’s great if you’re strong enough to wield it. I can technically wield it but is it gonna be useful with a ten in strength or should I just stick with my nail board?
