throw away power armor
make winter survivor suit
make heavy survivor helmet
make winter survivor glowes
make few balaclava
make helmet liner
make survivor boots
make arm and leg warmers (2 of each but try more)
make glowe liner
wear multiple socks
wear multiple polo shirts or something what give warm to torso
this is cheap and will give protection and warm a 9mm burst should do not insta kill you
Or, y’know, you could make thermal underwear. Still means passing up on the power armor, but it’s not like batteries are in short supply in labs, and two sets of that let you wear standard low-encumbrance gear for your diving.
Stealth is plenty for taking on labs, if you’ve an even slightly decent ranged weapon. (A Tihar loaded with bearings has served me well for pretty much everything you might find down there short of a loose Shoggoth.)
i never need thermal underwear maybe i get up to 10 pain but its no problem for my reinforced katanas and accurized reflex recurved bow+
Here’s my ice lab loadout:
I replace my light survivor gear and heavy survivor helmet with winter survivor gear. The thermals are powered by UPS, so I just flip on the bionic to charge them. The rest of my gear I have all the time, including the thermals. I’ve been wearing them since the windchill update.
EDIT: Should I replace my Cranial Flashlight with a UPS-powered wearable flashlight? Power is no object, and using more power will actually be a plus. I need to be able to make myself hungry so I can eat mycus fruits when I get thirsty and not waste anything.

Atomic flashlights, on the other hand, were like carrying a miniature sun.
I can confirm.
BUT THEY’RE SO HEAVY
I THINK THERE WERE LIKE TEN POUNDS FULLY LOADED
Why not just make an atomic plasma thrower… a semi large atomic reactor that shoots plasma and powerful radiation at enemys
Well, I crafted a wearable flashlight. After charging it to full, I turned it on in a lab. It seems to be pretty bright, brighter than Cranial Flashlight, and uses less power. It drains directly from my power banks, not its own, so it is always at full strength. Now I just have to get used to it.
I stumbled across the Professional Camera and ever since have been cataloging the various beasties I run into. Still don’t know how exceptional photographs of shogoths, Migo of flesh angels would raise my morale…but still!
How do I rotate parts for vehicle construction? Currently there is no way to make the _| frame
perhaps you caught them doing the hula or something like that
Hey I had a question, i’m wearing heavy power armor with helmet (that is powered) and have internal climate control, how the hell do I stop from freezing on the lower lab levels?
And btw you want Power Armor Mk II, it’s much more power efficient and stronger than regular PA.
Question: What are floor trunks? Are they like aisles, but with storage space, or what?
Question: What are floor trunks? Are they like aisles, but with storage space, or what?
Yep!
Thank you for the confirmation, I shall now get to work on creating the ultimate cargo carrier/mobile home.
Don’t use floor trunks.
Use cargo carriers. They also have AISLE tag, meaning they don’t slow movement. They’re significantly heavier, but carry 2.5 as much stuff.
They’re really hard to manufacture, but you can find them on one type of wreck. It’s not a common wreck, but it’s easy to recognize - it has a diagonal car and a big square area of cargo carriers (about half of which will be unrecoverably wrecked).

I know about these. But since it’s likely I won’t find any useable cargo carriers for awhile, I’ll make due with floor trunks for now.
Still can’t figure out how to make the _| frame for vehicle construction, any help on this?
I dunno either. It’s just for aesthetics though, so I just deal with my OCD rage and build frame there.
It kinda blends in with the one above/below, at least in ascii.
Just look more closely. Or look at all that don’t fit and find the correct one by elimination.
Not sure how it does it look in tilesets.
