You can dissemble the rising sun to get your stuff back.
Rising sun is better as it can be used for area denial with its start fire functionality, and if on, it works like a torch/flashlight. Diamond katanas are good only for chopping stuff.
By the time you have access to a cvd machine you should have the mini-flamethrower CBM rendering the Rising Sun’s start fire functionality pointless and you should have many ways of generating light or just plain seeing in the dark… so at that point the extra damage (and the awesome precision strike trait it gains!) is definitely superior.
EDIT: Also, personally I would take a Diamond Katana over a Rising Sun even without these things, the bonus trait and extra damage are just so powerful.
How does the light fire work for the rising sun, is it like a flamethrower or like a lighter?
Where do I find these chicken walkers im hearing about? Ive got a pile of LAWs im itching to test out on them.
met one in a roadblock.
had to restart my game since i was early scavenging, during the day and it locked on me, the damn thing…
it was impossible to outrun or oufight it when it was so early, i was trying to make/find clothes in order not to freeze.
thanks for tips about diamond katana and rising sun with high night vision and big supply of lighters and flamethower cbm i will look around for cvd machine
Dont hold your breath, ive only ever found 2, one of which was at the bottom of an ice lab, making it pretty much useless.
I made my Diamond Katana in an ice lab lol, I even failed the first attempt. I dumbassed and lit fires around myself to try to get warmer and nearly burned the whole room down, luckily I found a fire extinguisher nearby. Eventually I left with shitloads of frostbite, but an awesome blade!
Does cannibal/psychopath/strong stomach/recipes take away nausea or whatever from eating human? My intention is I want to eat human reliably and often but I don’t want to bugger with testing. I would be cooking it into cooked creep at least, kinda sad I can’t use it to make loaf loaf or slob slop, though there are a nice array of stupid puns.
Cannibal on its own gives a small morale boost when you eat people. Psychopath on its own removes the usual morale penalty, but grants no bonus. Having both makes eating people give you lots of morale.
Strong stomach doesn’t affect it because there’s (currently) no nausea effect from eating people, just a morale penalty.
People halp!
Am at level 10 of a slime pit and I got surrounded and I cant even run away, they seem to keep spawning. I look at the wiki and there is appearently another kind of blob, the Brain Blob or something, and that he/she will make all other blobs disappear once dead.
Problem is, I cant find him for the love of anything holy. Does he even spawn at lvl 10? This seems to be the last level.
Also, pic related, how am stuck right now:
look for upward slope and mele your way to it and escape this place (btw blobs are great for learning mele)
EDIT: Ninjutsu spawn in dojo?
My god, so many blobs it’s unreal xD
I had a problem like this too, I raided a Triffid Grove, and my poor woman, covered from head to toe in sticky sap and covered in the blood of animated plants learnt that she had crawled to the bottom floor to reach a dead end. Not even a queen as a boss or anything, I cry everytime.
Jakers, you were probably too slow and should have returned another day.
Triffid Heart is the QUEEN tag for triffids. It can not only spawn more triffids, biollantes, and creeper hubs to protect itself, but also close up its roots to block out evil Heart Attackers–such as you. Best practice is to clear out the Triffid Roots and leave, then repair & reload and return for the Heart. Wall-demo, flamethrower/extinguisher, and tear gas/mask are all recommended.
Brain blobs are not a guaranteed spawn because there’s currently no way to ensure that any given level of a Slime Pit is the bottom. Should probably steal the code from Labs, come to think of it…
i have realy nice way of dealing with turrets and getting some ammo and inactive turrets
at bank get cloaking cbm and find somewhere directional emp cbm and go to lab butcher some zombies for power storage cbm after getting some power and charging it find turret and activate cloak go to turret in mele range and deactivate it with emp free ammo and inactive turret for now tested only on normal 9mm not military
I’m certain there’s a command that lets you see a list of the monsters that you can see. Can anyone tell me what the key command is on default? I know it’s in the game, but after my year-long hiatus, I forgot all the controls.
V, then press > until it swaps to the monster tab.
Noob question here, can you use unarmed combat styles with punch enhancing weapons, like brass/steel knuckles, boxing gloves, or maybe punching daggers?
Yes, these weapons are explicitly intended to work with them, they have a tag that makes it so. Bionic claws and the monomolecular blade also seen to work with them too.
