Cut down on the realism

Again, can we cut off with the realism? This is what kills games.

Ah yes, because right now you can’t:

  1. Tow motorcycles/bicycles
  2. Use electrical tools that consume hilariously low amounts of energy for the task at hand (forge, soldering iron, hotplate, …)
  3. Use bionics
  4. Disassemble items in a unreasonably long time (e.g. most clothing)
  5. Get unreasonably low fruit/vegetable yields from trees and plants

So much realism, wow

Let’s not forget the whole vehicles modification/creation system which allows you to make effectively tanks from scraps made by smashing lampposts and ovens. And you can even drive those multi-ton monsters (on roads) using only the wheels from office chairs!

可行,但我认为过于细节化会导致游戏进程缓慢和后台运算过大而卡顿。为何不设计成模组?事实上让玩家自主选择可比硬性植入更能让人接受!这个问题已经谈论了很多次…

install a mod then. there are plenty of them out there to have more “fun”, some of which are already pre-installed like safe autodocs and classic zombies. however without challenge you may quickly notice your accomplishments feel hollow and unworthy

without uncompromising harshness you’re kind of missing the entire point of the game if you don’t adjust to the learning curve. the fun of games like cdda and dwarf fortress is the feeling of Nietzschean euphoria after you overcome the challenges of the unforgiving wasteland and become the ubermench
