# Why aren't Ruger Mini-14s moddable?

i tried to attach a suppressor, a spare magazine, and a brass catcher to my mini-14 but it said that that mod can’t be used on a .223 gun. what gives? ☹

I think there’s a 7.1 on the frontpage ([cataclysmdda.com](http://cataclysmdda.com)). Fortunately saves are compatible between 0.7 and 0.7.1–most of the time they aren’t.

hey i DLed it and it works, thanks! i guess i know now to download from the wiki from now on.
