# Where to Get Started?

I am interested in mod making for CDDA. I stumbled upon this game on Reddit a few weeks ago. At first I rolled my eyes at it because of the graphics, but I eventually decided to download it and play it, and i love it, mostly because of its depth and difficulty. Anyways, enough of me rambling, I would really like to know where to get started with modding the game and help on this would be appreciated.

Also look at JSON\_INFO, JSON\_FLAGS, MAPGEN, ITEM\_SPAWN, NPCS, and the doc folder which comes with the experimentals (not fully up-to-date but they work). 0.C isn’t patched much, so it’s a good idea to mod the experimentals.
