# When do maple trees give out sap and how long does it take to see it fill up

Hey its been like a week since Winter 12 and none of the taps have paid out with any sap yet. Am I too early or too impatient

IRL we get maple sap early spring, and I think cata has modeled that similarly.

It’s last quarter of winter, and first half of spring for syrup.
