You make make a lot of noise when you sleep likely attracting the attention of anything nearby. (heavy snorer your even louder and gonna wake up to a horde of Z’s noming your face)

night terrors: you havn’t dealt with the apocalypse well and thats saying something since you were already disturbed before the cataclysm now you scream and shout in your sleep, wake in a terrible mood and to petrified to do anything for a while. Waking with zombies threatening your life doesn’t help and you may remain petrified even longer. In addition to this you wake with wet penalties and need to drink more after you sleep. Unfortunately you need to rest more often as you never get a good nights sleep.
It should be a large penalty to turn this off. say 8 points. good luck with those living nightmares.

100% of the time you die without being butchered you watch your life as a zombie but have no way to control what character does. Make it so game refuses to quit or do anything but just keep going, this includes the ability to alt tab. overwrites all saves involving this character.

An option to wear utensils on the mouth. They have 5 encumbrance and offer between -5 and -20 armor.

As someone with severe sleep apnea, I’ve considered adding it several times, but haven’t convinced myself it would be worth the effort to add.
In the cataclysm it would be loosely speaking untreatable, so you’d just sleep badly all the time. The symptom is you briefly stop breathing while sleeping briefly but regularly. In severe cases such as mine this happens up to dozens of times every minute. The lack of oxygen triggers a gasp reflex, which gets you breathing again, but also partially wakes you up. The end result is you never enter a deep sleep phase, you end up sleeping for much longer than usual, but you’re always tired. The resulting chronic fatigue has it’s own set of symptoms.
The only treatment is wearing a breathing mask while sleeping that provides positive air pressure that keeps your throat from closing, not only are these machines rare, but they also are going to eat through batteries like crazy. Using a CPAP continuously has its own set of symptoms, such as the unusually dry air damaging your airways and causing chronic infections, but that’s going too deep, even for DDA.
