HAH YES THAT’S PERFECT TIMING.

New bad idea: you can substitute harvested grape jello for blob globs in mutagen recipes, but all the flavoured mutagen also become grape. Break the threshold, become the grape.

There should be a pun trait that grants a morale boost whenever you encounter certain items.

And a corny one-liner trait that grants a morale bonus whenever you kill something, but also grants a reputation penalty to anything within earshot when you kill anything.

An “I win” button. You press it once and it gives you a pot, a jerrycan of clean water, a dozen sausages, a full set of reinforced leather armour, a duffel bag, a hammer, screwdriver, lighter, a selfbow/quiver/arrows, knifespear, a pick, 3 in all skills, whatever I forgot…

Second press gives you six in all skills, full light survivor gear, a pneumatic rifle, enough tools to get all the way through crafting, a folding bicycle, a boatload of water purification tablets and pemmican…

Third gives nine to each skill, heavy survivor, a nice laser pistol and something that can kill shoggoths, a slow and fragile solar car with the basic utilities on it, enough dehydrated vegetables and meat and seasoned salt to be in woods soup for a year, a jerrycan of mutagen and two doses of purifier, torsion ratchet, solar panels, 4 mark II storage, base stat augments, a random vision CBM…

Twelve in every skill, power armour…

IIRC she duck-taped several guns together, I’m not sure if that counts as “modifying”.

Yes! That is the one! Duct tape + any item = gun mod. This must be a thing! I want to mod my flintlock pistol with a mininuke launcher mod and a power armour mod!

oh, I almost forgot to affix an aluminium vat mod to my pneumatic assault rifle. Now I won’t need to go unarmed on my petrol raids!

On the other hand, it would make a certain amount of sense to strap a torch to a rifle, or a whole lot of torches together to increase the total candlepower. Duct tape could even convert a portable media player into a cybernetic enhancement, with the added bonus of easy removal if you didn’t need all that hair and skin…
