If everybody listened to niche music nobody had ever heard of, then nothing would be mainstream, and the lack of mainstream WOULD be, essentially, the only main stream.

Tiles should have angles, so that there is a downhill for sleds to slide.
There should be a sled recipe for a sled with lots of spikes all over the thing that can slide at enemies for much spiking. It shall be _ba dum tish_ The Sledgehog!

😛 Create alternate Cata games with various tweaks and slight nuances different from mainline. Walking, standing, waiting, and sometimes just nothing at all will result in “shifting” universes and result in your character (and maybe you?) being in alternate Cata with slightly (or vastly) different rules.

I don’t know if someone’s already said something like this, but for every plastic bag we find 5 credits should be taken from 1 of the credit cards the player is carrying. If they aren’t carrying any, or can’t afford the bag, they automatically drop the bag.

I doubt anyone has done that one yet.
Cowardly arms dealer start.
You are an arms dealer that finally got his/her hands on a nuclear warhead! Its a mininuke… but still! You were setting up with a buyer when the undead decided to break up the deal. The Buyer tried to snag the missile and run off with it, but you managed to hang on to it. HA! No free nukes for them. You worked hard for this nuke and your going to sell it for major profit if it kills you! apocalypse or no. You had to run for it, and barely escaped with your life. Now to catch your breath, and plan what to do next.
Start with armed mininuke with the timer at 25 in hands, status effect of Out of Breath and (obviously) no stamina remaining. Often spawns in the middle of nowhere. Swamps, fields, or forests.

Foreigner start:
You are a foreigner from a distant country, you were here for a vacation and now you are stuck with no way home!
Normal survivor professions, but you can’t read or communicate with NPC’s due to a language barrier. The only way to communicate with NPC’s is to use gestures or something
Ex:
Npc: S/He’s trying to talk to you, but you have no idea what S/He’s trying to say.
You can then learn the language by rummaging through a library or bookstore and finding a corresponding dictionary or textbook. Afterwards, reading books and talking to NPC’s are in their default state.

And to translate this suggestion right back into a bad one again after that sensible addition, have a chance of the phrasebook being the one from the “dirty Hungarian phrasebook” sketch.

Maybe different types? I.E Dictionaries let you learn words, textbooks let you learn the basics, from sentences to their structure to reading/writing, and maybe a “dirty” version which teaches insults to casual conversation.

Oh hell yes.
If we want to make it more Fun and more complex, have the language barrier function by allowing you to converse with NPCs normally, but make all their lines filtered through randomly-selected translation files different from the localization the player’s using.
