# Using a stepladder, plank, wooden panel, metal sheets, etc. to bridge a 1-tile gap between buildings?

Activate on a ledge to create a plank/ladder bridge. Can only be used on ledges and doesn’t create ledges of its own, to avoid players spamming an infinite protruding bridge.

High chance of falling off while walking across, this chance is dependent on dexterity and is significantly reduced with Parkour Expert.

but you can already parkour across rooftops by pressing E at a ledge and selecting ‘jump over’?

You can build a vehicle on a roof top and expand it to cross the gap. You need a floor in the vehicle to be able to walk across, though.

Not an argument against a change, but rather an indication of a work around that’s available currently.
