Some of the food my survivor had became red in text. Trying to eat it I get a warning that my survivor will get nauseous from eating it, but after a while the color of the text became normal and my survivor was able to eat it without any problems. Also, once in a while my survivor gets a message that her metabolism has become unstable, but immediately after I get a message that it has stabilized.
Those weren’t there before my hiatus in playing, so I’m wondering what’s the mechanics of whatever it is that’s happening.

I get that when I feel nauseated, which happen regularly with my chemical imbalance character. You might be filling sick from food poisoning or infection or something.

Might also be radiation poisoning. And check your mutations. Nausea now actually does something. (and it nicely stacks).

It’s an ammunition vending machine used in the home defense gun store. The ammo drops were taken out entirely, either due to human error or a nerf.

Anoyne know what are the best throwing weapon in the game?
I’ve been using a pair of diamond broadswords, which do more than 100 dmg and have 6 range, but I wonder if there’s something comparable in game, ideally easier to find and with less volume.

Spears, maybe? Aside from throwing diamond katanas with a railgun CBM, I never really tried throwing. I really wanna try it out one of these days, but I’m assuming that they work best. There’s javelins as well, I recall. Iron and stone seems ideal, with the latter taking less time to batch craft, and one javelin = 1 volume so they’re certainly lighter on the volume.

Should I feel guilty about debugging in shortened barrels? It seems I can’t make one, nor can I saw the barrel off of something with a tool.

Depends. You could add in the barrel recipes, and then give them 75% the qualities of the shortened barrel mod

The ongoing battle between tacticool and slavaboos
But in reality, it all depends on RNG and where you look. Underground gun basements usually have reloaded ammo, an assortment of civilian guns like Remington 700/870’s, Uzi’s, Glocks, M1911, etc. And a rare, old time gun like a flintlock or a cap and ball revolver. Occasionally I find a SKS or an AKM or a military grade weapon like a M4A1 or SCAR-H or FN FAL but I haven’t found a Mosin in a while. Military bunkers, military outposts have United States military equipment, namely military grade weapons like grenade launchers, M4’s, Battle rifles, rare sniper rifles, light machine guns, explosives, military grade ammunition, you name it.

Mosin 91/30s can be found in any building that spawns guns\_rifle\_common.

If you’re looking for a Makarov, you can find them pretty easily in most mansions. They usually have a couple foreign guns in the room with the foreign alcoholic drinks.
That said, you tend to twist your arm to absorb the recoil. That’s really more of a revolver technique. 😛
Which reminds me, I’m still looking for a Mosin-Nagant 1891/30. It would go nicely with my sawn-off, drum-magazine’d AR-15 and my expertly crafted and customized M1911.

Speaking of guns, I’ve been out of the game for a while so I wanted to ask what it means when I find a gun with a pink name - I’ve noticed this primarily on makeshift I’ve found in basements, but I also found a COP .38 derringer which also has a pink name.

‘Pink’ means ‘no ammo for this gun on your person’. Which is somewhat misleading because of magazines.
Gun \<-- Magazine/Clip \<-- Ammo
gun \<-- Ammo
Those are the two models that exist. Bows, crossbows, shotguns, etc use the below, and most others use the above.
now, when you have a rifle with no magazines, it will display pink. When you have mags, but no ammo in them it will show pink, no matter how much ammo is in the gun or in the mag in the gun.
When you have a shotgun or simple gun and no ammo it will show pink. when you have mags but no ammo for them, they will show pink too.

Holy shit. After a lengthy hiatus of at least 5 months, I return to the game. Might as well pick it up again, now that school is starting. could anyone give a run down of any major updates (even a few words are sufficient) since the beginning of version 5000 and beyond (my latest is 5025, outdated I know). It feels great to be back with familiar faces all around 🙂
