# The process appears in the background, but

Hey everyone,

I stumbled upon a strange issue while trying to build and run from the source on Windows. I managed to build successfully using Code::Blocks, but when I try to run the executable, no windowed application appears at all. I checked the task manager and saw Cataclysm.exe as a process, and it seems to keep my CPU quite busy, but it appears to be stuck in the background. I wonder if anyone else came across this issue and have any ideas how to fix it. The problem appears in 0.8, 0.9 and the latest build.

edit: the problem appears for the ASCII/curses build only
