A solar cooker / solar oven could very easily be made out of a cardboard box and aluminum foil and spraypaint and would passively cook simple meals like rice or beans or veggies. Or it could be used to keep already cooked foods warm and keep that morale boost.

Instead of having to take valuable time from scavenging, sleeping, etc, you can set your solar cooker out in the sun, fill it with with food and come back that night to a cooked meal waiting for you.

You could also find much more efficient solar ovens at sporting good stores.

Here are some links:

> You don't need to build a fire or use fuel to cook food or heat water. In most cases, solar power is all that's necessary. What you need is a little knowledge to let you harness that energy efficiently.

Thoughts?

EDIT: fixed some weird Speech-to-Text errors and fixed the top link

Your first site seems to have disappeared, it’s now loading a domain squatting site.
Reasonable idea all around, pretty sure we have all the infrastructure we need to do this.
