[In this thread](https://discourse.cataclysmdda.org/t/crazy-idea-about-adding-various-usa-states/16328/110) there was talk about an exhilarating idea of using real world data bases to generate a near 1 to 1 map of Massachusetts in Cata. I think that would be amazing. Current world generation is working but doesn’t inspire, and it seems still true that it will never be changed.
It’s been a long while since then and I was wondering if any progress was made at all. Is it still active or was it abandoned for personal or technical reasons?

It’s ralreegorganon’s project, mostly, and he’s been busy with other stuff. So it’s backburnered but not abandoned.
Someone with coding experience could pick it up. The overmap generation code in general is gnarly but not impossible to understand.

Will say that that got me very excited 😄. Patiently waiting on that one myself.
