# Please unblock Tor

Studies have shown that blocking tor relays does not decrease spam, abuse and hatespeech.  
On the contrary, there is evidence that people are more aggressive when using their real names ([qz.com/741933/internet-trolls-are-even-more-hostile-when-theyre-using-their-real-names-a-study-finds/](http://qz.com/741933/internet-trolls-are-even-more-hostile-when-theyre-using-their-real-names-a-study-finds/)), and that certainly also applies to revealing their IPs which link their accounts to their real names.  
And while this study is slightly dubious, there is clear evidence that clearname policies don’t improve anything ([techcrunch.com/2012/07/29/surprisingly-good-evidence-that-real-name-policies-fail-to-improve-comments/](http://techcrunch.com/2012/07/29/surprisingly-good-evidence-that-real-name-policies-fail-to-improve-comments/)). So neither will blocking tor, not to mention that those who want to can easily circumvent that block. It just harms regular users.

Furthermore a lot of people are behind firewalls in repressive regimes and can only use tor to access huge parts of the internet.

On a related note, please be more considerate when deciding whom to grant administrative powers on this site.

How hard are you going to ban dodge?

Wake up dude. Your behavior was unacceptable, we all wanted you gone, the moderator just pulled the trigger.

Have some personal responsibility my friend. Sometimes when you act extremely rude, people go out of their way to make sure you can’t again.

Stop inflicting your lack of social skills on the rest of us and just give up already. No one cares about your struggle. No one’s ever going to side with you. You have major and blatant personality defects that you need to put serious effort into correcting.

Well, can you access the forums over Tor? As of yesterday, I can't.

I have no idea what you are talking about. This is about the entire Tor network, not about individual accounts.

Edit:  
It works now after restarting TBB. Before it said something like “Sorry Guest but you are banned”.  
I guess it must have been because of cookies but i don’t understand why it called me Guest then.
