# Nether Portals and Fungal Infections?

I’ve made two characters since downloading this version. First one ran into Kreks and such and I ran the other way. Shortly thereafter I had a horrible fungal infection and ended up suiciding because I couldn’t move and had not found anything to help.
Just now, I ran into more kreks and I once again caught the gaze of a Flaming Eye before I realized what was up and I started showing signs of a fungal infection before I even got back to my base. Isn’t it supposed to be random chance of something and what that something is or has it been altered to fungal infection every time? Or have I just been incredibly ‘lucky’?

Incredibly lucky. It’s called “Teleglow” one of the very, very low chance effects is fungal infection.
