# Need some help with Cygwin

Just to put it out there, I have little to no knowledge of how cygwin works. I just followed the instructions [here](http://www.cataclysmdda.com/smf/index.php?topic=3.0) to play but now that doesn’t work.

After it stopped working I deleted everything to start over clean. Now it just says this when I try to pull from git.

> Computer name ~ $ git clone git://github.com/TheDarklingWolf/Cataclysm-DDA.git Cloning into 'Cataclysm-DDA'... fatal: write error: Socket operation on non-socket

Anyone know what that means? Or how to fix it?

Strangely that’s almost the same error it gave when I was trying to run the game or update.
