I need the following guides, or how-tos, to get people started:

[ul][li]Compiling on Linux walkthrough[/li]
[li]Contributions Standards Guide (things like the style guide and how we’re switching over, process for git pull requests, the kind of thing we are likely to accept or reject, when the astyle thing is in running the .sh file)[/li]
[li]A guide for editing the various json files that don’t require compilation (including what values are required, what values are optional, what the different files are for and mean, and common gotchas)[/li][/ul]

Also, suggestions on what other guides might be worthwhile.

How should we submit a guide? Post it here or make a new thread?

New thread, then I can sticky it.
