I like the idea, but than again i play dwarf fortress.

I wouldn’t mind if it was not 100% accurate I.E. no items or monsters

I actually don’t like this feature of DF; I find it aesthetically unpleasant and also somewhat confusing, especially at night, when I have trouble parsing the difference between something I’ve seen and can no longer see and something that’s just dark. Also the “seen monster” spam is irritating. I realise not all of these features would need to be ported over, but I think I’d still prefer it the way it is.
