# Launcher not allowing me to update

What it sounds like: my launcher is still on build 8040, and I see that build 8062 is out in the changelog, but the ‘update game’ button is grayed out and I cannot click it.

What do?

I deleted the launcher and downloaded the latest version, it works now.

I know I’m late and you folks already figured it out, but I too was having this problem, seems the launcher’s author commented on [this Reddit thread.](https://www.reddit.com/r/cataclysmdda/comments/9oz9o3/opened_up_the_launcher_today_getting_could_not/)

TLDR: update launcher to most recent version [1.3.15](https://github.com/remyroy/CDDA-Game-Launcher/releases)
