# Item blacklist mod, come vote for the items you want in it

There’s a proposal for a mod that blacklists items on github. If an item is in the blacklist mod, and you enable the mod, it will prevent the item from spawning, and it will hide the recipe for making it if any. Basically it’s as if the item doesn’t exist.  
The question is how to choose the list, that’s where this thread comes in, vote for as many items as you want, but please only make one post to make vote counting easier, duplicate posts will be deleted. If you later change your mind, just edit that first post. Also to keep vote counting easy, please no conversation in this thread, but of course feel free to discuss the process elsewhere. I think three votes should be sufficient to get an item on the blacklist, but if it ends up being like half the items in the game we might need to have a run-off or something.

Once the list is compiled, it’ll go out with the experimental, but the whole point here is that it’s a simple list, if you decide you only want some of the items blacklisted, it’s way easier to remove them from the list than to hunt them down and add them to the list yourself.

EDIT (06-07-2014): First vote count and initial commit. (check my counts if you want, but it’s kind of landslide-y in here)

I had to guess a bit at some of them because the votes were a little vague, you may want to clarify if it caught something you didn’t intend or missed something you did intend. In particular there is some discontent about the Tonfa getting lumped in with “Japanese weapons”, and someone was wondering whether bikini means specifically bikinis, or all swimwear.

In an amusing twist, none of the other maintainers were willing to merge the PR, so it’s not happening after all.

Granades, though id be happy if they where just made much much more rare, ive had a dozen of the suckers in the back of the truck after a long run once. The jacqueshammer isnt so bad, as you only run into them every few runs or so.

There is alot of other stuff that would be fine if it was just 10 times harder to find.

Fursuits  
Vibrators  
Mutagens

Reasons:

- Granades: Horribly, horribly imbalanced. Having the chance to up/down stats so easily changes the game around too drastically. This really should not be spawnable outside of debug.

- Fursuits: It’s very distraction, and otherwise just useless clutter.

- Vibrators: Distracting, much like the fursuit above, though it has a unique function, so it’s not useless clutter.

- Mutagens: I have no problems with some types of mutegen, but I’m not especially fond of other types. It’d be nice of blacklists for this category were done an an individual basis rather than as a whole.

I feel that somebody should point out here that the  
-wristwatch and  
-diving watch,

two Time-Telling Tools, are being included in the general “jewelry” category when they very arguably shouldn’t. Can the people who originally suggested jewelry exclusion possibly clarify if they want watches gone?

I only eat meat and the presence of such pansy food in this game is triggering to me.
