Not sure if this is a bug, just a shame this had to be my first post orz but yeah, sort of skipped 0.4 but when I read in 0.5, is it meant to just keep reading until I pass out/am completely dehydrated? Thanks just seems a little odd to me.

just press 5 when you want to stop reading, or press N when asked for confirmation, and you’ll read for a short time

If you study a magazine you will read until stopped or you get a level up.

Or if you dont want to dehydrate drink water and get the fast reader trait (I think that is its name)
