# Is it possible for me make cataclysm DDA see through on Linux terminal?

Transparency is a feature of the terminal emulator, I hear aterm is good for that kind of thing.

Once again thanks for the response. I have a transparent terminal although cataclysm has its own black background.

Are you using the curses build or the SDL build? If you’re using the curses build it doesn’t do anything with the background, it’s a pure curses application. If it’s the SDL build, that’s not supported.

yes its definitely curses. I just tried re downloading both the stable and newest release both that where labeled curses.
