# How would a player cause bleed?

I know enemies have attacks that can make the player bleed and can also make other monsters bleed but what can the player do to make anything bleed?

It appears the messy tag doesn’t cause bleed. Whether that is due to it being non functional, extremely rare or it does something else I am uncertain.

A quick skim of the code shows that when a tool has the messy tag and it pulps a corpse, it will spread gore over twice the radius.
